Yes, the heating elements are top and bottom for the broiling option. Takes about 5 minutes to get up to heat range.

They stay bright red, heating until it’s reached it’s temp mark. Once they turn off, doesn’t mean it’s (off) it keeps at that temp till you shut it off.
