• Yes you can hook it up to a stereo, but unfortunately in today's modern times no one uses a stereo anymore but you can connect it to a sound bar which I've done and it sounds great!!

• Yes! I have an old Panasonic stereo that I got when I was a kid and it works perfectly. There is a 3.5mm jack in the back that allows for a plug in. When the stereo is plugged in, all you need to do is set the stereo to a nice level and then the TV controls all the volume
