Yes, try this go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. Make sure you have the latest firmware version, go Home > Settings > Device & Software > About > Check for System Update.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronic control) is implemented differently by different manufacturers, under different names. But technically, yes, a signal at an HDMI port can trigger unit power. (Going to check the settings for this on my Sony, when i get home.) This company seems to allow the 'last input' used, as a trigger, if I understand what I have read. And a comment here was that it worked a bit flakey... but I want that, for use as a computer monitor. Going to download the manual next...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Note: The referenced Display & Sounds control feature must be accessed through the Home screen that is shown on the TV at power-up. Do not use the remote control's Settings button (gear icon) as is does not access the full list of settings. That said, the method described to set the power-on default input to the "Last One" does not work properly all the time. In my case, I wanted the power-up default to be HDMI1. Sometimes it worked and other times the TV would indicate there was no signal at HDMI1. I had to go the Input settings and change it to HDMI2 and then change it back to HDMI1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't find any way to change the default setting to any HDMI ports.
