Yes, try this go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. Make sure you have the latest firmware version, go Home > Settings > Device & Software > About > Check for System Update.

But technically, yes, a signal at an HDMI port can trigger unit power. (Going to check the settings for this on my Sony, when i get home.) This company seems to allow the 'last input' used, as a trigger, if I understand what I have read. And a comment here was that it worked a bit flakey... but I want that, for use as a computer monitor. Going to download the manual next...

Do not use the remote control's Settings button (gear icon) as is does not access the full list of settings. That said, the method described to set the power-on default input to the "Last One" does not work properly all the time. In my case, I wanted the power-up default to be HDMI1. Sometimes it worked and other times the TV would indicate there was no signal at HDMI1. I had to go the Input settings and change it to HDMI2 and then change it back to HDMI1.
