• No the remote mostly uses voice but you can bring up the channel guide and move up the guide to the show you want Good luck Steven Allthumbs

• Yes its a real remote control but its a smary tv . Voice control is convenient but optional she can always just use buttons without saying voice command to control tv. I have 4 of these tvs and never had a problem
