Not sure where you came up with the 178 degree viewing angle. The only TVs with near that are curved screen units and Insignia does not make that type. 178 degrees means you could be beside the TV and still see the screen clearly in viewing angle nomenclature, not possible. I have 5 Insignia TVs of various sizes and age including a 2018 55 inch and it is a good unit 78 degrees is almost a right angle and even with 4 kids on a couch or chairs to either side the screen is viewable for gaming.
