• Yes if fact voice assist is something you turn on when you’re setting up the TV if you want to use it. I don’t even have Alexa and I just use the remote.

• The TV does not require Alexa to work and the voice remote is activated by pressing and holding a button so if you are not using voice assist then don't press and hold.
