I live in FL where it's hotter than an elephants armpit and i use these bulbs outside and they work great. But i do want to note it's on my front porch so i don't know if it will withstand rain. I even noticed there's way less bugs flocking to my porch at night when i turn them on.

I use it anywhere I would a normal incandescent indoors. As with all LEDs, high heat is their nemesis. I have one in the garage which is doing fine after a year, but I was a little uncomfortable with putting one in the attic... I would not leave it directly exposed to the weather, but in an enclosure it should do fine.
