I just measured mine, 1/16" shy of 56" from the floor to the top of the plastic trim on the door and hinge point.
A:Answerthere is a small gap from the bottom of the item to the floor. Also it is not an auto defrost, so you would have to move it, or have a pan under it when you defrost (likely annually).
A:AnswerDo not put this in a garage. Pamphlet says warranty void if not kept inside house. It says not for garages it is not heavy duty. I am small and can lift it off of the ground by myself.
