A:AnswerI don't know if it is rated that way, but I have it in my garage where it can get up to 100 degrees in the summer. I asked the delivery guy and he assured me that the insulation around the unit will be able to take the heat. It's been close to a month that I got it and so far so good. Food is frozen solid and I even had a power outage recently.
A:AnswerI have not had this upright long enough to have to defrost it, but I had one just about the same as this and it did not have a pan for the water. Looking at this one when we got it home and set it up. It is just like our last one and did not have a pan for water. When we defrosted our other one we put towels on the bottom to catch the water.
