• Try the Power On feature, when enabled, your TV turns on displaying the last used input: go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.

• You can code it to always turn on to a specific input. So every time I turn it on now it goes directly to HDMI 1 which is attached to my cable box (essentially going straight to TV without having to navigate from a home screen which is factory default). I don't believe you can truly lock out the Smart features since pressing the home button does bring you to that interface.
