• Yes, I used a HDMI directly to the receiver and could not only get all locals but any streaming service as well. Good luck

• You can use the DIGITAL OPTICAL OUTPUT jack or the HDMI1 (eARC/ARC) jack. You need to change the digital audio format, go to: Settings, then select Display & Sounds. Select Audio Output, then select Digital Audio Format and change the setting to PCM (for Optical) or Dolby Digital.
