• This unit doesn't contain Teflon or PTFE/PFOA.

• There doesn’t appear to be any PTFE but that is for visible parts. The housing is a solid polycarbonate but the air movement parts are not visible. I wouldn’t expect to see PTFE unless it is an internal bearing. I usually haven’t heard of bird issues unless the PTFE was in a heated environment but I don’t have birds.
