Yes it has HDR your tv needs to be updated and you must have a 2.0 cable and go to setting and tv inputs and set it to 2.0 also. You’ll see the notification pop up saying HDR when watching anything with HDR and from there if you go to setting it’ll give you HDR options as well. Don’t listen to these liars on here it’s HDR
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but the picture is great without it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ignore the other answer here and get it straight from the manufacturer. Click specifications here: https://www.insigniaproducts.com/pdp/NS-55DR620NA18/5679628
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely supports HDR plugged my xbox up to try netflix and HDR comes right up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it supports HDR. Not listed in the specs, and some people claim it isn't HDR capable, but it is. When watching HDR content an icon comes up in the upper right corner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It certainly does even through the YouTube app
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When I bought this TV it said it did not support HDR. When doing research on tvs I wanted something that could do both 4K and HDR for my PS4 Pro but eventually I figured that getting true HDR10 with 4K at this price point was out of the question so I gave up on hdr and just got the TV. A couple months in and I started noticing an HDR symbol popping up in the right hand corner. The TV was updated to support hdr yes but here's the catch, it does not look any different. I tried turning it on and off with multiple games and Netflix and it really doesn't look any different at all. But the PS4 system still thinks you're viewing something in HDR so when you save a video clip and then play it back without hdr, the colors are all saturated and look weird. Eventually I got a BenQ 1080p IPS monitor that supports actual HDR10 and the difference is night and day. I'd actually say I prefer HDR as a feature over 4K. Everything just looks so much brighter, like you turned the brightness on your phone up. And the colors are a lot deeper and more saturated so that when you go back and play something like Uncharted 4 without HDR, it looks washed out by comparison. I'm still trying to find out if Insignia has some kind of record on their website where you can see their past updates. If I find it, I can confirm if HDR was pushed in an update. If you mess around with the settings and crank up the contrast while you have hdr set to on, you can actually get something that sort of resembles what the games look like with it on. Just remember to turn it back down when you're playing games that don't support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Many people say it now supports hdr, but I recently asked insignia support about it directly and they told me that it does not, and that there was no hdr enabling update. Information is conflicting, which is annoying. Question for those who own this TV and report hdr support - does HDR look different/better than SDR on this panel?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this TV does not support true HDR as it does not have wide color gamut technology. For all the answers to these questions that are erroneously giving examples of “an hdr symbol popping onto the screen”, the real answer is that yes, the source is supplying an HDR signal. However, the TV is simply compatible with this signal and an HDR source on this TV will look no better than a non-HDR source. Think of it like this. If you had a black and white TV, and played a color source on it, it would still show the source. It just wouldn’t be in color. This is similar to showing an HDR signal on a non-HDR tv. The TV is simply able to show the content.
