• You could try to use the Power On feature for the TV to automatically change the input. First, make sure you have the latest firmware version, go Home > Settings > Device & Software > About > Check for System Update. Then, go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. It is recommended to use the included voice remote to fully control your Fire TV Edition television. • Yea contact your cable provider and they can walk you through the steps or visit you cable providers website for remote codes. If you are using voice activated cable boxes hold setup for 3 seconds. Then type in 12049. You remote should be programmed.

• Can i use the comcast remote to turn on and off the tv and change channels/adjust volume? I plan to use comcast remote for everything other than the fire tv.
