“Having issue where while watching a program, the screen goes dark but sound continues. Can see with flashlight there is still picture just too dark to see normal. TV less than 2 years old-what to do? Fixable? (sadly no protection plan-first time ever)”

• The picture has gone out. The LCD panel needs to be replaced. This just happened to me after having the tv a little over a year. And the manufacturers warranty is only good for a year. Funny huh? And I didn’t purchase the protection plan either. To replace the panel is a few hundred bucks. The cost of the tv. You may have luck selling the tv as is and buying a new one. Different brand. With a protection plan.
