• We have it on a sunlit (south exposure) poorly insulated 8 x 30 room; cools satisfactorily.

• Our a/c went out this year and I purchased 2 of these units (1 for the bedroom and 1 for the kitchen/family room. They do a great job of cooling down the room. You can program them with a timer but we just turn them when we get home in the evening. I am still waiting on my current month's power bill to be able to determine energy consumption.
