Why is it called a 3.5 mm MINI audio extension cable? null

I have this item. I'm sure mini just is comparing it to the 'standard' plug size used by such things as larger headphones. Some headphones have a similar looking jack, but they are larger and can not fit into say the small input hole of an iPhone, etc. So mini = 3.5 mm in my opinion. THIS cable will fit into an iPhone headphone jack to give you a better point of reference.

The 3.5 mm plug/jack is also know as a "MINI." That's why it's called a Mini Audio Extension Cable.

Mini just means the regular size of a cord. For example, it will fit in i phones ps4, nintendo switch etc.

1/4" plugs used to be the standard. 3.5mm came around and were considered "mini plugs". Then 2.5mm came around, which are called "sub-mini". Don't mind the wording, the measurements will always be correct.

Because you are using this to extend a mini (3.5mm) audio cable. It just plugs into your your mini cable via the female end. A normal mini cable has male to male ends. This will be a female to male end.

Because that is the jack/plug size
