I purchased this for a quick extension to my headset to use while recording professionally on my Mac. I did plan on getting a different brand but this was the only brand that was available at my local BB. This is my second Insignia product, both failed on me. I wish this location would stock better brands and not a bunch of no named garbage. I love BB, but lately it is harder and harder to just find a quality product for when I feel like walking into a store without researching a product beforehand. Anyone that shops at BB can agree it is FLOODED with brands even Amazon won't stock due to them being such poor quality. I realize that I could have just gotten a defective unit but that just confirms poor quality control on their end. I shop at BB because expect to get quality electronics that I can buy local, but this location has me second guessing my regular electronic purchases and I find myself trusting Amazon much more.
The staff at this location are always extremely friendly and informative when I do need help but the Insignia products BB is pushing the quality products out of the store. This takes away a lot of price match options when the ONLY brand for the item I may be looking for is Insignia, which is a BB exclusive similar to Amazon Basics.
This may be possibly a location issue as I used to shop at the Nashua, NH location and it was always stocked and easy to find what I was looking for. If this location was stocked correctly I would have walked out today with all the studio electronics I walked in for in the first place. Instead I settled to just pick up this cable for the time being to be safe and even that is a disappointment. This is exactly why retail is dying.
