I think when you plug in your headphones the audio from the tv is muted by design. You might check with Sony for possible options or LG for internal audio settings in the menu.

Please try again later.You can't do them both I already tried it I bought a 43 inch LG and they have serious audio issues nothing's broken it's simply that they didn't manufacture the TV to be able to do that I bought a Vizio 39 inch that does both of those things I will hear both my computer through a 3.5 mm Jack into the TV or I can hear the TV or I can hear them both together. you're probably going to have to get a TV that's capable of doing that I made the mistake of buying the LG brought it home plugged it into my home theater and got no audio turns out that the LG had no audio out.
