You need an active cable or adapter like the ones sold by startech. This cable from insigna is a passive cable. Check out active vs passive cables. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had to wiggle my cable at the PC end to get it to work, try that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One direction. Display port to HDMI . Won't work in reverse with a cable. Would need an active converter to do that. Has to do with the technical protocol of each port type.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So I found out the cable itself is the problem. You need to check your resolution on the tv or monitor you’re using. Then check to see if the cable can support it. I had to return this cable twice thinking maybe it was defaulty then went to amazon and saw they have a cheaper one that actually is compatible with what I needed. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an 27" 4k lg which has two HDMI's and display port. I bought this cable to connect my super Nintendo to display port and same thing no signal. I've tried everything and nothing. its very annoying. I just took the display prot hooked it to my computer then hdmi to 4k monitor and I get a picture. so its not the cable. just doesn't seem to connect from monitor diplay port to hdni.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your going display port to hdmi you will get no signal. If you do hdmi to display port it will work but be lock in at 720p. Trust me I wasted several hours trying different things and finally just said what ever I’ll stick with one monitor. Finally got a new set of monitors and decided to try the cable because my new monitor had display port and it work if you go hdmi from the card to display port on the monitor
