That could be a driver or hdcp issue, you may have to do additional research based on the specific brands of equipment you're using. It works fine for me using hp laptop with intel video to tcl uhd tv.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.John this is more likely the port you are plugged into and not the cable some video ports do not support audio as well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That should have nothing to do with the cable. You would need to check your sound driver settings.

DisplayPort was designed to replace VGA, DVI, and FPD-Link." There are many reason why you may have no Audio. Can video be played on another device, and does it have audio? What type of computer? Is sound enabled? Lets' start with the simplest fix first. Has display port and cable been connected to this computer before and had sound? Do you have speakers or is sound through the monitor Please check to be sure which is the case. Please check to be sure sound is not on mute. Start with turning off your computer. Remove cable from monitor and computer be sure to not pull by actual cabling but by the end of connection. Carefully and firmly attach hdmi back to monitor and firmly attach Display port to computer. Give it a minute or two, try playing sound either internet or other video and do you get sound? If not please check with a tech to further help you.
