Please try again later.Display port has extra communication lines that allow the screen to talk back to the computer or decide and allow for a true refresh rate the down side of that is nothing can be converted to display port because it can't sync it's Hz. Display port can be converted to anyother by falling back to the 60hz, 30hz, 15hz model. I don't believe you will be able to make that conversion, but you might be able to look into a usb3.0 to display port instead.

I don think it will identify the keyboard of your laptop, so I feel you would still need to provide a USB Keyboard and mouse to hook into this KVM Unit. Most likely your TV has a VGA connection, so you should be good to go if you use the VGA connections provided.
