I always put a plastic bag inside the shredder and when the bag get full, take it out and tie it up. don
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First, turn it off and make sure to unplug for safety. Then using the handle just life it up and turn upside down when you lay it down to protect the blades. Just empty the basket and put the shredder back on it and plug it in. If you just got done filling the basket, I suggest to leave it sit for 30 minutes before doing any more shredding to prevent the motor from burning up.
