QuestionI have my shredder for about 7 months now, and I love it.....usually just put two sheets at a time. I noticed the overheat light comes on every time I use it. Left it off overnight, just tried it and light still comes on with one sheet....What can I do?

- Answer I would return it. If left overnight and the overheat light still comes on, then there is a latent manufacturing defect.

- Answer Hey there, sorry you experienced the problems you did. it is designed to be used 2 minutes at a time then rested as it will overheat. I have purchased a few shredders and this one has been the most reliable. Certainly it can only do a few sheets at a time but since most times I am shredding things as I get them(like junk mail etc.) the limited number of sheets does not bother me. I think it is a great shredder for the price.

- Answer The shredder is not perfectly square (some faces slope), but with that said, the dimensions are roughly 13" x 8.5" x 13.5" high (or about 6.5 gallons). this is the dimensions of the basket only with the shredder removed. The shredder head adds about 4" more height.

QuestionShredder in Auto-start mode will not stop in spite of the basket being empty, and nothing stuck in the shredder. I moved the switch to Reverse, moved back to Auto-start, but it didn't fix it. Have shredder for 6 years. Auto-start worked until now.

- Answer Yes, if you don't put them through with the metal clasps, and don't put in any that have self-sealing sticky or gummed flaps.

- Answer Using your two feet, hold the lower bottom of the container. Pull the upper (shredder). If it does not separate, spray some oil on the space that joins the container and the shredder. Then pull them to separate.
