It's in standby mode when you plug it in and also after you press the Cancel button. The START button will flash as long as the unit is plugged in (before and after use). To turn off the beeping, it must be in the standby mode. Press and hold the air fry button until you hear a beep then release. Beeping will then be off. However, if you unplug the unit, the beeping will return when you plug it back in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We unplug after each use - only way we have found to stop flashing. A little inconvenient but we have gotten used to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have read the manual (some parts multiple times), and while it does say to unplug the unit when it is not in use, it never refers to that as a "standby mode". It does, however, mention that the beeping can be turned off when the unit is in standby mode. If you do what it says to turn off the beeping (hold the air dry button down for three seconds) while the unit is not plugged in, it has no effect on the beeping. Your can, however, turn off the beeping whole the unit is plugged in. Therefore, the unit is not in standby mode when it is unplugged. Every other appliance and electronic device that I've used in my entire life requires some power to be in standby mode. Good luck, Styles! I'll be following this thread, as I am also confused by this issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Every electronic instructs you to unplug it when not in use: televisions, security cameras, computers, etc. But that doesn't necessarily mean that that is the best way to put the device into 'Standby mode.' I believe the person using the handle "Handy" has the correct and best information.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Flashing lights, the need to plug/unplug is annoying, and therefore, a deal breaker for me
