Yes. You may need to keep the volume no higher than midway up as the receiver input is expecting a line level input which is lower power than the headphone jack output. You won’t blow anything but it will start sounding distorted. Basically have the phone on the lowest setting and your stereo system about mid way up on volume. Then slowly turn up the iPhone until it gets loud enough for you, making sure you don’t go past the mid point on the phone’s volume. If you hear distortion than back it off and if you still need more volume than increase the stereo volume.
