Probably not, all my 2.0 flash drives don't work with this cable. I bought a 2.0 extension and that does work. Backwards compatibility was always flaky with 3.0 and usb extension cables in general. Hope this helps. Even though I think it likely won't work or have issues, I think it's always best to test anyways and if not, return it. Lot's of computer devices are not nice using any extension, keep this in mind as well. Another thing to mention is I'm using an ASUS motherboard which there newer boards are having issues, unrelated to this but if they keep going this direction, who knows maybe my board has USB issues not addressed by ASUS, this is why it's best to test on your own equipment, pc/ lappy etc.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using my extension cable to support a 4-port USB 3.0 hub on my PC. I haven't run intro any issues with it. That's the exact reason I got it. The USB hub's connection cable is so short that it dangled from my computer. Now, I can place it further away from the computer on my desk space.
