“Will this work for a USB type key board so I can sit on the couch to use it? Im using my TV as a monitor with the computer in the living room. I purchased a wireless and the key bd doesn't work.”

It should work just fine...USB to USB. I used mine to extend the length needed between the printer and my PC. It works great for me!

Yes, the USB extension cable will probably work to give you that extra reach. However I would recommend a wireless keyboard like the Logitech K400 which is what I use for this setup. You have to do some research on wireless keyboards, some are designed with a 3-6 foot range as they are only intended to declutter your desk. I get good reception with my K400 from ten feet away.

It should. I use the cable to extend a pair of 7 port usb hubs that includes a dongle for a wireless keyboard and it works just fine.
