While QLED TVs generally offer better brightness and color saturation compared to standard LED TVs, they are primarily designed for indoor viewing environments. Direct and bright sunlight can significantly impact the picture quality by washing out the colors, reducing contrast, and making it difficult to see the details on the screen. For optimal viewing in bright outdoor conditions like a patio, TVs specifically designed for outdoor use are recommended. These outdoor TVs typically have much higher brightness levels and anti-glare screens to combat sunlight. 1 While our Insignia QLED TV will produce an image, you may not have the best viewing experience in direct sunlight due to potential glare and reduced visibility. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask! - Mae | Insignia Support
