Hi Adam! Thanks for your question. A popping sound from external speakers when the TV is off usually happens when the connected audio device powers down at a different time than the TV, or from small electrical fluctuations in the audio connection. This is common with soundbars and receivers. This model also doesn’t include a setting to fully disable sleep mode, as it’s designed to enter sleep automatically to save power.
