Twist the block knob on the top of lid. You may get burned, if you release the steam with your hand on top of the know. Hand to the side.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the manual the user may twist the square knob if quick release of steam is desired to stop cooking at end of p.c. cycle. When initiating p. cooking the manual only states that the user should insure that this valve is closed and not whether it closes automatically when the lid is twisted shut as occurs in I.P. models quipped with the new Easy Lock lid.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it does have a quick release. Read the instructions or watch a YouTube video. It shows you to twist the quick release valve to let off pressure. Wear a glove just in case you twist it towards you. It even has an arrow like protrusion to show you where to twist.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know what you’re referring to as quick release but once I cook something and the pressure is out I basically just turned the lid which is very easy and it opens very swiftly
