I just received mine and I'm having the same issue! No sound, lights are on but it's not getting cold.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1./ Unplug from house outlet. Turn down/shut off all nearby noise (tv, appliances running, etc) 2./ Turn the temp all the way to WARMEST (yes, warm) setting. 3./ Plug into a standard 120v house outlet. 4./ Listen for any motor noise: should barely hear anything, only possibly a small fan. If you hear more, unplug and re-plug till you "memorize" the volume of its sound. NOW THE TEST : 5./ slowly turn the thermostat toward cooler temperature. At some point before max cool you should near a very different noise, louder than before, This would be the compressor that circulates Freon to cool the interior. CONCLUSION : A./ If no compressor sound after a couple of tries with the thermostat, unit is defective. B./ If sound, but no cooling effect on walls of an EMPTY interior in about 2 hours, unit is defective. Of course, make sure your circuit breaker is not tripped off. If your outlet is the GFI type, make sure it is functioning (indicator light on, or push its reset button to check).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One of two things probably happened: You were unfortunate to get a defective freezer, through no fault of your own, or someone along the way manhandled this new freezer and banged it around (was it delivered?). I picked up my Insignia freezer so no one could bang it around carelessly. I'm glad I did because I've had it five days now and I couldn't be happier with its performance. It's a solid freezer when treated correctly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have you made sure the temp control is set properly? I’d think depending where you’re storing the freezer, If the outside temp is lower than the freezer set to it may not feel it needs to kick on?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Take it back
