I don’t know what the lowest recommended temp is off the top of my head, but mine is placed in an unheated garage. It can get down to 20 and 30 degrees outside. I haven’t had any issues with that or anything else with this freezer. We simply plugged it in when it arrived and it’s been forgotten about until we go out there for something. It’s been very reliable
