Hi Noblelord! To defrost the Insignia 7 cu. ft. garage ready freezer, follow these steps: 1. Unplug the freezer from the power source to ensure safety. 2. Remove all items from the freezer and transfer them to another cooler or storage area. 3. Place towels or a shallow pan at the bottom of the freezer to collect the melting ice. 4. Leave the freezer door open to allow the ice to melt naturally. You can also use a hairdryer on a low setting to speed up the process. 5. Once all the ice has melted, clean the interior of the freezer with a mild detergent and warm water to remove any residue. 6. Dry the interior of the freezer thoroughly before plugging it back in and returning the food items. It is recommended to defrost your freezer at least once a year or when the ice build-up is more than 1/4 inch thick.
