I cannot vouch for why on page 13 it says "If you run your freezer in an ambient temperature below 50° F, it may not operate consistently, it may not operate consistently. For example, the freezer temperature may become too warm and the contents may defrost." According to the ambient temp ranges, the freezer mode can operate in 0°F to 110°F This may be a typo, as you can see from the grammar they used.
