I didn't find stuff falling out to be an issue. You can buy small baskets and such that should work just find though. None are included, however there are shelves.
The freezer comes with hardware that allows you to change the swing of the door.
It swings out to the right as is but you can change it so that it swings out left.

This freezer doesn't come with baskets. The door is reversible.
