I purchased my freezer in Dec. 2022, and I can confirm that the design flaw has not been fixed. On mine the issue only exists at the front of the shelf—the glass is well supported at the rear But, the inner walls of the freezer taper out toward the front. The brackets at the front are 1/2” wide, but because of the taper only 1/8” of glass rests on each bracket. I don’t think a shelf could fall, but if mispositioned, will only be supported at 3 points. So I could see a heavily weighted shelf breaking if the shelf became shifted to one side. All that said, once a shelf has a few items on it, it doesn’t seem to move around with normal use. For the price, it was perfect for my needs. Just 1/4 turn of the knob keeps it around 2F, and it’s so much nicer than my old chest freezer. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought one of these recently and have not had any problems at all with the shelves.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s NOT an issue… just leave the blue tape and foam as it comes in place. That way the shelves will not move. Case Solved !!
