“Can that Alexa junk be turned off so it isn't listening? I have no use whatsoever for spying tvs. I want if off, Off, OFF! Totally disabled and not in the background. Doe this tv allow you to do that?”

The alexa feature is only on the remote and you must press the button. So it is off unless you want it.

Go to settings. Then go to Alexa. Go to the setting that states turn TV with Alexa turn that setting off

Alexa won’t be available if you don't use your Amazon account or don't connect the TV to the internet. There is no setting to only turn Alexa off.
