Try the Power On feature, when enabled, your TV turns on displaying the last used input: go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As with all Fire TV’’s, when you turn them on you are on WiFi. This is where you can watch Amazon prime movies and apps that come with it. To watch cable TV you must change the input by clicking on the appropriate app. I returned all my cable boxes to Comcast but continue to rent their high speed modem ($11.50/mo), bought three Fire TV’s and added Hulu for all the the stuff I watched on cable. Here’s the monthly cost breakdown - $70 for Comcast WiFi, $11.50 for the modem & $70 for Hulu (no ads) VS $220 for cable.
