It does, we connected it from a tablet to the tv and it ddoes work great, try to get a cable that runs from your computer to the tv and you will have to take out a small loan.

Yes, HDMI standard supports audio so if the device SENDING the signal is also sending audio and the device RECEIVING supports both audio and video then you will get both.

dvi by design does not support audio. To get this to work, you will need to purchase another converter that splits the audio into auxiliary. For example: Device > HDMI-to-Micro Cable > HDMI Cable > HDMI/Audio Splitter > monitor & speakers
