“connect windows lenovo laptop to my monitor, i opened up display on my laptop and did see that they are connected but my monitor screen is black while the laptop screen stays. i am able to move tabs over to monitor screen but screen is black, please help”

I ran into this same issue I thought, Maybe it had something to do with my computer not allowing it, I didn't think it had anything with to do with the cord. but i may have been wrong i do not know I assumed my laptop wasn't camplitable
