This is a feature called "Manufacturing Defect". Refund time! BTW - This device is not UL rated for surge protection. It is a glorified extension cord with lots of outlets. See attached photo for a description of surge protection devices for electronics.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.At first I thought so too. The first couple times you plug something in it goes in easily about half way and then you have to push harder. It will go in. I have 2 of them and both acted the same way but it gets easier.
