I can't plug my stuff in!! It kind of looks like something metal is inside each outlet. Is it some sort of slide lock I can't figure out? If I hold the plug there, the unit charges, but the plug falls out as soon as I let go. How do I charge my stuff? null

This is a feature called "Manufacturing Defect". Refund time! BTW - This device is not UL rated for surge protection. It is a glorified extension cord with lots of outlets. See attached photo for a description of surge protection devices for electronics.

If you're trying to plug in something with just 2 prongs (no 3rd ground plug) flip the plug 180º and try it. These outlets are tight and a polarized two prong plug will only plug in one way.One prong is slightly larger than the other one.

At first I thought so too. The first couple times you plug something in it goes in easily about half way and then you have to push harder. It will go in. I have 2 of them and both acted the same way but it gets easier.

what ever you are trying to plug in you have to push it hard to loose the holes up then it will stay in

Yes I had same issue with one plug.But others worked fine.I was wondering myself why .But as always you get what you paid for.
