Highly Recommend For Problem Vertical Plugs!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Nowadays, so many computer peripheral plugs are oriented double and triple the size vertically, so instead of a surge protector strip fitting 6 sources, you can only fit three on them! What a waste of outlets. This strip was perfect in that instead of my plugs sitting train style, my plugs can now sit side by side, THEREBY not covering two or sometimes three outlets because of the plug's orientation!

Great Power Strip
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed.Great power strip. No issues. Plenty of outlets. A little chunky but that is to be expected with this many outlets. Just about fits behind TV stand without it sticking out too much.

Works well to use for refrigerator and freezer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed.Use this to plug in extra refrigerator and freezer in the garage. Seems to work without any issues. I'll update review should any issues arise. So far so good.

Great design
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I bought this because my old one didn't have enough outlets for my person and work computer. Wow I looked at my last one sticker it was from 2013 lol welcome to 2021 technology is great I absolutely love the design the old ones couldn't hold everything but you can have the big bulky plug and the smalll one love this definitely will buy another one.

Perfect for my situation
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. It's perfect for my situation. I already has a multi plug surge protector but the plugins were too close together. This one has some of them spaced out for the items that have larger connectors.

Q: QuestionDo not install warningInside the package is a warning: "DO NOT install this device if there is not at least 30 feet (10 meters) or more of wire between the electrical outlet and electrical service panel." A phone call to customer support explained that 30 feet is required else the power surge protection won't have sufficient time to react. Should a surge affect a device and the device isn't more than 30 feet from the house electrical box, I was told that the warranty would be void. The 600 joules rating is very low protection in any event. Buy this for the convenient outlets, on sale (I paid $10). Look elsewhere for surge protection.
Asked by Geek.
- A:Answer The 30 feet requirement is not line of sight, but counts all wire length. This includes distance up or down the wall, under floor, through ceiling, etc.

Q: QuestionIs the cord you plug in flat on the wall/angled or does it plug straight in?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Insignia 8 Outlet has a Straight Plug. It is Not Angled or Flat.

Q: QuestionI can't plug my stuff in!! It kind of looks like something metal is inside each outlet. Is it some sort of slide lock I can't figure out? If I hold the plug there, the unit charges, but the plug falls out as soon as I let go. How do I charge my stuff?
Asked by Apple.
- A:Answer This is a feature called "Manufacturing Defect". Refund time! BTW - This device is not UL rated for surge protection. It is a glorified extension cord with lots of outlets. See attached photo for a description of surge protection devices for electronics.

Q: QuestionI have my surge protector plugged in and my stuff plugged into it, the light that says protected is lite up but the grounded light does not light up? Is this normal if.not what should I try?
Asked by DimeBag1989.
- A:Answer Perhaps your wall outlet is not properly grounded. I'd tried a different wall outlet in another room. Both lights should be on.

Q: QuestionWill this plug into an older home's two-prong outlet?
Asked by Jon.
- A:Answer The Insignia 8-Outlet Surge Protector Strip needs to be plugged into a grounded outlet (3-prong) to provide surge protection.

Q: QuestionWhat is the combined maximum amperage rating of all devices plugged in to this outlet strip?
Asked by Geek.
- A:Answer The device has a UL 15 amp outlet configuration. That means a TOTAL of 15 amps for ALL items plugged in. Don't forget about the inrush current that devices such as refrigerators have.

Q: QuestionI have my LG 50 tv and sound box all plugged into a surge strip for about 5 yrs. now I am getting interferences on tv and have noticed a yellow light on the strip is on with the green one. Is this an indication I need a new surge strip?
Asked by Gingercat.
- A:Answer I would substitute another adaptor to check; a five year 50 inch (??) TV may have its own issues especially if plasma.Anyway eleimante adaptor as variable first ; check TV display.
