• The subwoofer is made of paper - as are the internal speakers (most likely) - so I would say long-term exposure to the outside will ruin them quicker than indoors. Would still think we are talking in terms of a few years of abuse, not weeks or months - as long as those speakers don't get wet.

• A problem could be humidity. It could have an affect on CD playback, but other than that there should no problems.
