No, that is actually all that the VR viewer is. It is a very basic, introductory VR viewer, not meant for long term use. There is a slot to slide your phone into, and you can view any apps compatible with Google Cardboard, and a few others, but it is not meant to be anything high end like the Gear VR or Oculus.
