• It could but we have nothing like that. I have it on the highest window like they instructed but have since tried all of the windows and we feel it still isn't working right.

• I am not sure but a metal roof could be a block to signals. I have yet to get mine to work, but I am trying to do it on a glass enclosed Lanai in SW Florida. There are large trees outside of my home and I feel that may be the main problem
