“my iPad wall charger has output 5.1 volts and 2.1 amps. your output is 12 volts is that too much. I think I have 3rd generation I pad. apple says it is a 12 volt wall charger with a lightning cord plug output.”

Sorry, I didn’t own an iPad. Bought the charger for my iPhone. Works great and the price is good as well.
