Yes you can... however this cord won’t connect directly to the SD card or the Samsung phone... however with software(or the iOS transfer app) you can transfer them

Fews method: Quick: 1. Thru the PC, save in the PC then connected with lightning cable to IPhone then use the ITunes apps to transfer from PC to IPhone! Takes time: 2. If the photos in the SAMSUNG phones , save or backup in Google Drive apps online. Then when use the iPhone 8, use the same Google Drive apps to withdraw the photos from online!
