No, this is a good quality product that has lasted us for quite some time. So long, in fact, that we purchased another one when we needed a charging cable for a different phone. We felt like it was a good price for a very good quality product. Best of luck!

Hasn't yet but haven't had it very long. Don't expect a problem.

The cable last for a few months depending on your usage. As long as it is during the warranty period (1 year I think), you can get it replaced for free at your local Best Buy. That is a plus. Easy exchange as long as you keep the original box and receipt so don't throw that out. Keep them in a safe place.

Only used for 1 month but haven't had an issue. But we are light users. Just use at home at nighttime.

No! the plastic itself is a lot more durable. And not so easy to bend at connection ends. Which is the big problem with lightning cables

No, I this is tougher and longer than the original.

So far it has lived up to my expectations. I do not shop by price, but rather by quality and service. So far, it has been great!
