• When the speaker is not in use, it will turn itself off to maximize battery life. You will need to manually turn it on if you would like to use it again.

• Hi. Thank you for sharing your inquiry with us. Bluetooth devices such as this speaker require to be turned on first to enter pairing mode and then you could control them with your phone. They cannot be turned on or off with a mobile device. Alexander G. - Insignia Support
